I'm In a Music Video

Last Sunday I did a video shoot, with my dance group VYBE, for Love Jones Girlz's song, "The Party Don't Start Without Me." It was hard because the day before, there was a dance workshop that we hosted which lasted from 5:00 to 10:00. Through out that whole time, we were dancing. Then VYBE had a rehearsal for an hour afterwards. We worked through it and did an amazing job. If you want to see a clip of the video go to the VYBE page on Facebook. TTYL

The Ending of a Chapter

Well, today was my final day at The Lion King. Yesterday I had a farewell potluck. That was so amazing. There were so many things that were kept a secret from me,like a book that was full of people's thoughts and memories. Also Khail did a dance while Jade sang. Josh sang "I'll Be There" to me too. I cried like a baby. I couldn't believe all the love that I got from my theater family. Today was my very last day at The Lion King. It's bitter sweet to leave, but, in the words of Khail, it's not a goodbye it's just a see you later. So see you later Lion King. Time to start a new chapter in my life. TTYL

Count Down Time

Well, I have 4 performances left. I started taking my stuff home last week and I thought I would feel really sad, but I don't. I guess it's because I'll be coming back in June to cover for a week so it doesn't really feel like good-bye. It feels more like "see you later!" So many people have come to see me perform recently. I have had guests every weekend in the months of March and April and I thank everyone for their support. I am looking forward to a little rest before God starts me on my next adventure. TTYL

Getting Ready to Say Farewell

I am really having fun working with the two new cubs, Shaylin and Judah. When I look at Judah, I see myself almost 2 years ago. I am proud of the work that I've done at the Lion King and I hope that I will leave a lasting impression in the theater. It's still hard to believe that in 2 short weeks, I'll be done. It is bittersweet, but the best part is that my parents and my wrangler are throwing me a great big send-off party. I'm looking forward to that! TTYL Alphonso

Last Show April 23, 2011 matinee

Hi everybody. My last official performance will be on Saturday April 23, 2011. I will be doing the matinee show. Thanks for all of the good wishes, the cards, and emails. I am looking forward to my next projects and I will post them as soon as I'm allowed to. I know, I know...it's just a tease but at least you know that Lion King is not the end of my career. God has opened up so many new doors. HOORAY!!!

Back Into the Swing of Things

As you can imagine, I am still on cloud 9. I met so many people and had such a great time in California. OMG! I am still suffering from jet-lag. Today I have rehearsal with the new cubs and I'm so tired but excited at the same time. On the train to work, we sat with Mr. Pierre. He was the DJ at my mom and dad's wedding way back in 1986. He didn't remember my mom but she knew him. When she told him my Dad's name, he started yelling. He remembered my dad right away and was so excited because they were childhood friends. Then we made friends with a lady who was, as she says, "evesdropping" on our conversation. LOL! She is a dentist and was going to a convention at the Javitz Center. Well, I'm off to rehearsal.

Having Big Fun in Cali

After the awards yesterday, my sister and I had fun in the pool with cast members from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". We had a great time. Today we are at Universal Studios. We rode the Mummy rollercoaster two times. It was great! I am having a blast with my dad and my sister because tomorrow, it's back to work. I'm excited to see everybody at work, at school and at home!

This Is Overwhelming!

Wow! Since my nomination for the Young Artist Awards, I have been getting a lot request for interviews. I can almost imagine how it is as a BIG star. I have two internet interviews. One is on www.theskykid.com and the other is on www.teenstarsonline-actor.com/ Then one of our local newspapers (The Trentonian) did an article and tomorrow another newspaper (The Trenton Times) is running an article. This is great, but my parents always keep me grounded. They tell me to always thank God for every blessing and to never forget who I am and what we stand for as a family. I am having the best time of my life. TTYL

California Here I Come

Guess what???????????? I have been nominated for the Young Artist Award!! It's the equivalent of the Tonys or the Oscars for young actors! I am so excited. I would love to attend the ceremony next month and my mom is working hard for that to happen. I will have to fly to California. I'm gonna be on the Red Carpet and everything. Jaden Smith is also nominated in another category so I hope that i'll get to see him to shake his hand. If you would like to see the other nominees, do a search on google for the "32nd Annual Young Artist Awards". Wow, what an honor! TTYL

I'm feeling the "VYBE"

Hello everybody. I am in a new dance crew called VYBE (Vibrant Young Brilliant Entertainers). Our choreographer is the great Adrian ADubz Wiltshire. He did the movies Honey, Stomp the Yard and Step Up 3D. He is the BOMB! On Sunday we had our first Hip Hop Workshop and it was great! There were so many people and everyone had a great time. I couldn't stay until the end because I had to get back to do my show at the Lion King. You can go on facebook to the VYBE (Vibrant Young Brilliant Entertainers) page and "Like" the page. Then read about everything that is happening. I am so excited to be a part of this exclusive dance group and I can't wait to see where it takes me. I'm especially happy because my sister Camille is in the group too! TTYL Alphonso
